Customizing your theme

To get started with customizing your theme we recommend you read through this intro to web design. It just helps to explain some key terms used in web design/development. If you have done a web project before, you can probably just glance at this article.

Easy edit mode

Easy edit mode allows you to quickly edit content on your site, as well as enable the color picker option so you can change the colors on your site.

To get started with easy edit mode check out this guide.

Using the color picker

The color picker allows you to easily change the various colors on your site without any programming knowledge. The color scheme on your site can easily be modified by selecting the individual colors via the color picker.

Here is a guide for using the color picker.

Additional layout add-ons

We do offer additional layouts to add-on or further tailor your site to your specific needs. We have layouts such as small group finders, member directories, staff page layouts, new here page layouts, and live streaming layouts. You can view these and more layouts at our layouts site: http://layouts.ekklesia360.com*

*Additional pricing applies. Most layouts are $350 one time for our team to install and setup on your site.

Getting started with content

To get started with your content we recommend you start with one module at a time. So if your ready to start entering in your pages, then start creating your pages. If your ready to enter in events, then enter your events. Doing things one module at a time will help you to learn that module really well. Below are a couple tools and/or recommendations to help you get started with your content.

Navigation & Site Maps

Creating your navigation menu will help you see what pages need to be created and how those pages and various information is going to be accessed by people visiting your site. To help in creating your navigation menu, we highly recommend reading through this help guide about creating a visual site map.

WYSIWYG

Adding content to your site often makes use of a tool called the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor. This tool allows you to type in your text, add images, videos, etc... to your site. The WYSIWYG editor also allows you to style your text using the styles built into the theme of your site. A great help guide to the WYSIWYG editor is located here.

Content Creation

Choosing which content goes on your or gathering content can often be one of the hardest parts of getting your new website up and running. Over the years we have put together a couple good articles, blog posts, and guides to try and help with the content creation process. You will find these below.
